Divine Schism presents:
'Building A Case' album release show. Full band set.
A south London based songwriter, Lou Terry once won the heart of John Cooper Clarke who stumbled upon him performing in a pub and was so entranced he missed his train home. Last year Lou played shows with Black Country, New Road and Piglet as well as supporting Porridge Radio on a run of dates. Last month, Lou released 'Canyon' the lead single from Building A Case, which won praise from So Young, DIY and many more.
London debut show!
Burglar is an alternative rock band based in Dublin, but their backgrounds couldn’t be more different. Eduardo grew up around the punk rock scene in his hometown of Goiânia, Brazil, while Willow comes from the indie-pop scene in Dublin, with previous project Opal Lights. Willow’s dissociative lyricism and Eduardo’s confessional style result in energetic and catchy songs with interchangeable vocal leads and omnipresent harmonic work, alongside distorted guitars and buzzing synths, underscored by bassist Cormac's undeniably hooky bass lines.
The band have spent the last two years playing as many gigs on the Dublin circuit as possible and have gained a following within the scene. They have been applauded for their exciting live energy, with onlookers comparing them to influences anywhere from Fugazi, to Slint, to Bloc Party. Their debut single 'Nobody Needs to Know You're Desperate' was released on the 15th of March 2024, and their debut EP is in the works.
Indie folk contaminated by electronica. Nice notes, over analysed lyrics, and pretty strings parts.
